Alexander Technique
What is Alexander Technique?Around the turn of the century an Australian actor(Frederick Mathias Alexander) lost his voice while reciting Shakespeare. Doctors could find nothing wrong, so he set up 3 mirrors to monitor himself while reciting. He noticed that he was tipping his head back which in turn was constricting his larynx and compressing the spinal discs. He decided to spend the remainder of his life working on the 'Alexander' technique to prevent the tensions and problems people were having in their own lives. The Alexander technique is described as a way of learning how you can get rid of harmful tension in your body.
